Cookie policy

Necessary storage and optional analytics on the icommunix website. You can reject analytics and still browse or send an enquiry.

Last updated: 25 October 2026 · Consent preference version 1

Necessary preference storage

icommunix.cookie-preferences is a first-party localStorage entry, not a cookie. It holds only the analytics choice, policy version, saved time and expiry time. Its validity is 180 days from your choice, without extension just for browsing. Expired, missing, invalid or unreadable choices do not enable analytics. Browsers may retain an expired localStorage entry until it is replaced or cleared, but we no longer act on it. Clearing site storage prompts a new choice. If storage is blocked, a choice lasts only in the current running page session.

Necessary enquiry security

The contact form uses a signed, time-limited submission challenge (up to 30 minutes) and a Cloudflare Turnstile verification token. These are not analytics cookies and are not saved by our form in localStorage. The form does not save your typed enquiry fields in cookies or localStorage.

Turnstile processes browser and connection signals to prevent abuse and may use provider-managed browser storage as described in its privacy documentation. The names and lifetimes of any Cloudflare-managed storage depend on its security configuration; they are not the Google Analytics cookies described below. Rejecting analytics does not disable the enquiry security checks. Our application does not add a login, advertising or enquiry-session cookie.

Optional analytics cookies

Only after opt-in, Google Analytics 4 can set _ga (a browser/client identifier) and _ga_KVDH4Y8GLH (the _ga_<measurement suffix> pattern, used for this property's session state). They help relate page visits to a browser and session. We configure both with a maximum lifetime of 180 days, cookie updates disabled, host-only scope and path /, rather than Google's default two-year lifetime. Browser restrictions may shorten this. GA session duration and Google account data retention are separate settings, not these cookie lifetimes.

The Google tag is contained in a non-interactive frame. It receives only controlled page metadata; it does not observe our form or SPA history. We manually send one page view when consent is granted and on each subsequent pathname navigation. We do not replay pages visited before consent. Advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalisation remain denied.

Read Google's GA4 cookie documentation and consent documentation.

Change or withdraw your choice

lets you review, reject or accept analytics. Closing the panel makes no change. Rejection and withdrawal stop future analytics and clear pending work. We remove the isolated Google runtime, not just its script element. We attempt deletion of _ga and _ga_KVDH4Y8GLH at accessible current/ancestor domain and path scopes. Browser restrictions, HttpOnly cookies or cookies on other paths/domains may require your browser's site-data controls. Deletion on your device does not delete data already sent to Google. We do not delete other properties' analytics cookies.

Other providers and more information

Hosting, security checks, fonts and email delivery are described in our website privacy statement. Rejecting analytics does not block those services. Their operational data handling is separate from optional measurement.
